Invisalign or braces: what is the difference?
Clear aligners and fixed braces both move teeth. They do it in different ways, and each suits different cases.
- How they look. Aligners are clear plastic. Braces use brackets and wires fixed to your teeth.
- Taking them out. You remove aligners to eat and clean. Only your dentist removes braces.
- Eating. With aligners out at meals, you can eat as usual. With braces, you avoid some hard or sticky foods.
